Tips for using TSEP effectively

TSEP search engine by default searches for all the given words and displays the pagewhich has the all given search words. The minimum number of characters for a wordto perform a search is 4. Listed below is an example of the boolean search used in the TSEP.
apple banana
find pages that contain at least one of these words.
+apple +banana
find pages that contain both words.
+apple macintosh
word "apple", but rank it higher if it also contains "macintosh".
+apple -macintosh
word "apple" but not "macintosh".
+apple +(>pie <strudel)
"apple" and "pie", or "apple" and "strudel" (in any order),but rank "apple pie" higher than "apple strudel".
apple*
"apple", "apples", "applesauce", and "applet".* represents 0 or more characters and can only occur at the end of a search word!
"some words"
find pages that contain the exact phrase "some words"(for example, pages that contain "some words of wisdom" but not "some noise words").
A search word which is a stopword will not be searched on or marked in the results.Besides the user defined stopwords there might be stopwords pre-defined by the administrator.Stopwords the administrator has defined are:
